Energetic and tough? Rudy and Hillary
A new poll released today by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press indicates the two New Yorkers running for president lead the field of candidates from respective parties when it comes to being “energetic” and “tough.’’
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was the candidate who first comes to mind in connection with personal trait “energetic’’ by 48 percent of Republican voters. Hizzoner also led the field in terms of being viewed as “tough,’’ with 39 percent of GOP voters associating him with that trait.
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was seen by 67 percent of Democrats as the first candidate that came to mind in terms of being “tough.’’ And 52 percent thought of her first among the Democratic candidates who are “smart.’’
