Some of the best known politicians in Westchester — including Assemblyman George Latimer and White Plains Mayor Joe Delfino — will be taking part in a series of seminars on the political process at Westchester Community College this month, about the political this month.

Sponsored by the student Senate, the four seminars will begin at 2 p.m. tomorrow with “How to become an insider,” featuring Mamaroneck Supervisor Valerie O’Keefe and Latimer. The event takes place inside the college”s CLA Building.

On Thursday, Oct. 11, Elections Commissioners Reginald LaFayette and Carolee Sunderland will discuss “The Election Process, primary, absentee ballot, how they count them, how they count votes.”

The final two seminars take place on Oct. 25 — “How they got into politics; opportunities to get into government” with former Power Authority President Tim Carey and Board of Legisltors Minority Leader George Oros, R-Cortlandt — and Oct. 30 — “Roundtable Discussion: how to get everyone to vote, the importance of voting and the involvement of the political process” featuring, among others, Delfino and former Yonkers City Council President Vincenza Restiano.
