Bloomberg breaks with Spitzer on licenses

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg apppeared on CNN’s “The Situation Room” today and expressed big time reservations about Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s new policy to allow illegal immigrants access to state driver’s licenses.
Bloomberg responded to this question from CNN host Wolf Blitzer: “Should illegal immigrants—maybe a million of them in New York State, have driver’s licenses, New York State driver’s licenses?
BLOOMBERG: “I do not believe they should. I think and I have expressed to the governor an objection I had to do it and my police commissioner have had to this for a long time when I’ve been asked this question. The governor’s first proposal, I thought, was inappropriate. And should not have been enacted. And I told him so privately which is the way I should deal with him.
“His second proposal of three different kinds of licenses are something that I have—I think a step in the right direction. But I still don’t think that it is where we should be. The bottom line is we should be giving driver’s licenses to people knowing who they are and making sure that they have a right to have them and we should make sure particularly when it comes to guns that you can only use a secure driver’s license to buy guns…”
BLITZER: “Am I hearing you right, on this issue, driver’s license in New York State, you tend to agree more with Lou Dobbs than Eliot Spitzer?”
BLOOMBERG: “Lou is an old friend of mine that I agree with seldom but nevertheless in this case Lou happens to be right.

Spitzer’s new plan is a fiasco, and so
is Spitzer. He’s a one-term crazy
who thinks he is an emperor, not an

Cousins must be hiding to avoid
all the fallout. But she stands
for nothing, anyway.
You would think that Spitzer, being a lawyer, would have more regard for the rule of law!! Spitzer is an embarrassment to the legal community. His misguided plan to issue licenses to illegals, which probably includes some terrorists, is a danger to New York State and our National Security!
REMEMBER: Just a couple of months ago, Bloomberg said “Let ‘em come!” on the issue of illegal aliens.
He NEVER said that they shouldn’t get licenses. It’s pretty easy to say the following: “Illegal aliens should never be given drivers licenses.”
But he didn’t say that. This goes well beyond guns. But he doesn’t get that. He supports illegal immigration.
I JUST HOPE THAT THIS PAPER WILL MAKE ANDREA ANSWER THE QUESTION JUST LIKE KLEIN ANSWERED. THEY SHOULD NOT LET HER OFF THE HOOK. THE PEOPLE NEED AND DESERVE TO KNOW WHERE SHE STANDS ON THIS IMPORTANT ISSUE.
Bloomberg and Spitzer are both horses rumps when it comes to the illegal alien problem. The only difference is that Spitzer is perfectly willing to spit right in the eye of 80% of New York residents who oppose this, and Bloomberg is a political hack and coward who supports illegals getting all other services but can see the way the wind is blowing on this one.
Both should be booted the hell out of office, aiding and abetting is a federal crime they should both be in jail in fact.
Lets face it, the reason the pols are falling all over themselves to pander to illegals is Bush’s CFR North American Union. Pols want the votes, Corps want cheap labor and Mexicans want Reconquesta.

Spitzer is a reprehensible, lying abject failure pandering to the illegals and setting up his parties directive for 2008 which is massive voter fraud!! Spitzer should be impeached by the good people of New York.
Bloomberg, like “Billary,” is trying to have it both ways. For months now, the only candidates for prez who would give you a straight answer on border security were Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. Now, even left-wing whack-job Chris Dodd, Teddy Kennedy’s ol’ drinkin’ buddy, says Hillary is out to lunch on this. And, make no mistake: this is NOT about “immigration,” my friends, no matter how the Lefties try to spin it! This is about border security which means national security, and respecting the Rule of Law which our Founding Fathers codified into the US Constitution. I call Spitzer “Idiot Spitter” because he’s figuratively spitting on the graves of the 9-11 victims [some of whom, Your Excellency, just happen to be of Hispanic ancestry, or didn’t that occur to you?].
Billary’s performance the other night was utterly shameful, and shameless! She obviously learned a lot from Slick Willie, eh?
Where’s the US Attorney for the District of New York with an arrest warrant for Idiot Spitter? Charges of “aiding and abetting” illegal aliens are entirely warranted, and can easily be proven simply by showing a jury of US citizens videotapes of his statements. That is, if the jury can sit through those nauseating episodes without losing their lunch!
It has long been know among the citizens of this Country (natural born and legal immigrants), that we have a natural RIGHT to purchase and own a motor vehicle. However, we also have and do know, that in order to operate that motor vehicle, you must qualify for and secure a Legal OPERATORS PERMRMIT (Drivers License).
The Governor of New York has evidently forgotten, or just does not care, that the procurement of the above document (License), is a PRIVILEDGE THAT IS GRANTED TO AN INDIVIDUAL, BY THE STATE OF HIS/HER RESIDENCE, AFTER QUALIFING AND EARNING THAT DOCUMENT, BY TESTING AND PROVIDING DOCUMENTS OF LEGAL CITIZENSIP OR NATURAL BIRTH IN THIS COUNTRY.
That means, simply, that you can buy all the motor vehicles that you can afford;that is your right (if you have the money); BUT…..........to be able to OPERATE that vehicle on public streets and highways in the United States of America, YOU DARN WELL HAD BETTER APPLY FOR THE PRIVILEDGE, LEGALLY, OF BEING ABLE TO DO SO.
If you are in this Country by any other than legally applying for American Citizenship, you do not and have not even earned the “IDEA” of thinking about driving here. The same with Health Care, Social Security and any of the other benefits earned and enjoyed by the legal citizens of the United States Of America. If you are here on a work visa then yes, some considerations may be in order; LIMITED Health Care (bare-bones basic), you have kids, they SHOULD NOT be considered “automatic Americans”,and you pay for the use of OUR MEdical Facilities, NO Social Security, Bank Accounts, Credit Lines, etc. You came here to work, send your money home, then YOU go home when your permit expires or LEGALLY Apply for Citizenship. Any of our elected Officials that think otherwise should be immediatly replaced because they DO NOT have the interest and desires of the people that put them in office at heart.
