The Governor of New York has evidently forgotten, or just does not care, that the procurement of the above document (License), is a PRIVILEDGE THAT IS GRANTED TO AN INDIVIDUAL, BY THE STATE OF HIS/HER RESIDENCE, AFTER QUALIFING AND EARNING THAT DOCUMENT, BY TESTING AND PROVIDING DOCUMENTS OF LEGAL CITIZENSIP OR NATURAL BIRTH IN THIS COUNTRY. That means, simply, that you can buy all the motor vehicles that you can afford;that is your right (if you have the money); BUT.............to be able to OPERATE that vehicle on public streets and highways in the United States of America, YOU DARN WELL HAD BETTER APPLY FOR THE PRIVILEDGE, LEGALLY, OF BEING ABLE TO DO SO. If you are in this Country by any other than legally applying for American Citizenship, you do not and have not even earned the "IDEA" of thinking about driving here. The same with Health Care, Social Security and any of the other benefits earned and enjoyed by the legal citizens of the United States Of America. If you are here on a work visa then yes, some considerations may be in order; LIMITED Health Care (bare-bones basic), you have kids, they SHOULD NOT be considered "automatic Americans",and you pay for the use of OUR MEdical Facilities, NO Social Security, Bank Accounts, Credit Lines, etc. You came here to work, send your money home, then YOU go home when your permit expires or LEGALLY Apply for Citizenship. Any of our elected Officials that think otherwise should be immediatly replaced because they DO NOT have the interest and desires of the people that put them in office, at heart.
