Better late than never

Posted by: Liz Anderson - Posted in Eliot Spitzer on Dec 05, 2007

There’s a funny item over on “The Daily Politics”:http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/dailypolitics/2007/12/holiday-what-holiday.html about how Gov. Eliot Spitzer—“the first Jewish governor since 1942”—is scrambling to hold an official Hanukkah party, a tradition in the governor’s office. Apparently the early-December date of the celebration this year caught staffers by surprise, and they’re just now putting the shindig together.

Such a shanda that Spitzer didn’t even know when Hanukkah was!

you know even if he himself is a secular jew, as am I
you would think someone on his staff who is a practicing
jew would know when the holiday starts….I mean
the hasidim advertise on wcbs that the largest menorah
in the world was going to be lit..Elliot must live
in a cave..clearly he is detached from the real world
as we see by his recent license proposals and trooper
gate…what is a shanda so to speak is that this
guy finagled himself into the governors mansion
with the help of his lansmen..Herbert Lehman
would be spinning in his grave

Lehman is spinning, and Beethoven is de-composing. Who knew?
