Kennedy backs John Hall for re-election

December
18

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is campaigning on line on behalf of U.S. John Hall, D-Dover Plains.

Kennedy wrote in a campaign fund plea today:

I’ve been an active environmentalist my whole life and have fought to help other environmentalists get elected. Now that John Hall is in Congress, I know we have a friend in a position to make real change and take on the corporate polluters and Republicans who put big business in front of our precious environment.

That’s why we need to help John Hall in his re-election.

John Hall is fighting to make sure our environment is safe, clean and wholesome.

John is fighting to assure the Hudson is cleaned of PCBs at a time when President Bush’s Environmental Protection Agency is trying to allow General Electric to renege on its promise to clean these deadly toxins from the river after removing only 10 percent of the contaminated sediment.

John is battling to protect our families from radioactive threats by Indian Point Nuclear Plant. Indian Point has the poorest safety record of any nuke plant in America and continues to assault our community with uncontrolled radioactive leaks. As the 9/11 Commission and others have acknowledged, Indian Point’s vulnerability to a terrorist attack could be the single largest national security threat to our country.

Since his first day in office, the President has initiated more than 400 major rollbacks to our environmental laws—dramatically weakening protection of our air, water, public lands and wildlife. The White House continues its brazen efforts to hand over our communities to industrial and agribusiness polluters to poison for profit. As one particularly disturbing example, last year, the Bush administration’s EPA finalized its deceptively named Mercury Clean Air Rule—a gift to the energy industry that will allow the nation’s coal-burning power plants to spew tons of dangerous mercury each year into our air and waterways for decades to come. Mercury has been linked to brain damage including autism, mental retardation, and permanent IQ loss and may contribute to heart disease and autoimmune deficiencies in adults.

Many top Republicans still describe global warming as a hoax, despite the overwhelming scientific data and common sense observations that our earth is getting warmer and the global climate is creating dire consequences for future generations.

John is working to reverse the impact of climate change by spurring investment in new energy technologies and reducing our dependence on foreign oil and he introduced legislation that would limit greenhouse gas emissions and find new technologies to combat global warming.

I am prepared to fight tooth and nail against the old, dirty power plants and industrial polluters that threaten our right to clean air and water, but we can’t do it alone. We need John Hall in Congress.

And Bobby Kennedy also insists his cousin Michael
Skakel had no role in the murder of Martha Moxley
in Greenwich back in the ‘70s.

Bobby liked the idea (recently) of trying to
hang that horrific crime on a couple of innocent
indidivuals. You go, Bobby. Go far away.

One worthless, elitist, far-left Democrat endorsing another worthless, elitist, far-left Democrat. Birds of a feather…

Why didn’t Bobby Jr. mention the fact that John Hall shills for one of the state’s largest car dealerships Curry Motors. Hall has licensed his signature song “Still the One” for radio and tv ads. How does helping sell more cars including dreaded SUVS amount to “fighting to make sure our environment is safe, clean and wholesome?”

”...An active environmentalist my whole life?” Reminds me of General Haig who, when caught smoking a Cuban cigar, was asked by a journalist if he didn’t consider that act illegal, responded after a moment by saying, as he exhaled a grey gush: “I rather like to think it as burning the enemy’s crops to the ground.” Haig, at least, had a sense of humor. Kennedy has polluted the air with both his questionable choice of illegal intoxicants and his smug, humorless, finger-pointing self-satisfaction. Before cleaning up the Hudson, he should spend some time cleaning up his biography.

Did Hall write “Still the One?” If he didn’t,
    he probably isn’t getting much.

To answer my own question, Hall is the co-writer
of “Still The One.” He also stopped it from being
used by the Bush campaign in ‘04, which will make
    Walter Barrett happy, I’m sure.

But as the judge recently said to Bobby Kennedy’s
cousin Michael Skakel in denying his latest try
for a new trial…. “You’re Still The One.”

Or one of the “ones,” anyway.

As if we didn’t need another reason to vote Hall out, now he gets the endorsement of the degenerate Kennedy klan.

John Hall is the epitome of what a congressperson should be doing both in Washington and with their constituents at home here in the district.

He votes as a Democrat should vote.

    He visits around his district.

    He sends out informative literature.

He even reads stories to children at local libraries.

He is completely involved in the entire district and embraces all of the constituents.

The huffing and puffing of disgruntled individuals will not prevent him from continuing to do the fine job he is doing.

He will be re-elected and by a much larger margin !

A Kennedy supporting Hall and our local Assemblyman may try to run against Hall and our local assemblyman decorates is local assembly office with photo’s of the Kennedys. He likens himself to them????????
    Go figure

  10. Dave

Does anyone know who’s running against him? Would Sue Kelly consider a comeback after being railroaded out of her seat by the cheap theatrics of Steven Colbert and others?

This year, we have got to free hippie boy from his public policy duties so he can get back to his music.

    Happy New Year!

John Hall is a pandering leftist piece of garbage that road the coattails of the peoples displeasure with the Iraq war to victory. Now he lies in bed with the moochersof Kiryas Joel and his true colors have come out. Vote for anyone other then this liar this November.

First of all, Michael Skakel is not a Kennedy cousin. His mother and Ethel Kennedy are sisters. Skakel has no Kennedy blood. Second, ” Still the One ” is the property of John Hall and his co-writers, so they have the right to let whomever they wish use it or not use it. Third, if half of Congress, both parties, were as hard working as John Hall is, we’d have the country cleaned up in fifteen minutes. John Hall is a proud Democrat who is not apologetic about his core beliefs. He doesn’t pander to politically correct rightwing ideologues. New York’s 19th District is lucky to have him.

  13. Sue Didna

Wow, a bit late to the party, ain’t ya, Keith?

But thanks for bumping this old blog entry so we’re reminded of yet another reason NOT to vote for “Still the Wrong One” John Hall.

My mother and her sister each married. I am, of course, the offspring of my mother. My aunt’s children (her sister’s kids) are my cousins. I don’t care what the names are, or whose blood is whose, we’re cousins.
