Going on the attack via the internet

December

Hillary Clinton’s campaign, which has organized a press conference call this afternoon to criticize Barack Obama’s record in the Illinois State Senate, also appears ready to launch new websites attacking her chief rival.

According to a “report on ABCNEWS.Com,”:http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/Vote2008/story?id=4032659&page=1 Clinton’s campain has registered the names of two Web sites — Votingpresent.com and Votingpresent.org — to target Obama.

The sites are domains hosted by the same IP address as official Clinton Web sites, such TheHillaryIKnow.com, which was launched with much fanfare this week

News of the websites and the conference call follow a New York Times’ “story”:http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/20/us/politics/20obama.html about Obama’s use of the “present” vote during his tenure in the state Senate.
