Rudy’s flu

Rudy Giuliani is expected to head home to New York City today after being hospitalized overnight in St. Louis with those all-encompassing “flu-like symptoms.”

According to the Associated Press, Giuliani felt so poorly that after a day of campaigning in Missouri that his plane—which had already taken off for New York—turned around to seek medical attention for the ailing presidential candidate.

Communications director Katie Levinson said in a statement issued early this morning that the former mayor “is in high spirits and is grateful to the doctors and nurses who checked him out.�

    What’s he grateful to the doctors and nurses for? We’re paying them for him, aren’t we?

    Well, he’s been bragging for months about how little sleep he gets, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he got a flu or something like that. I’m sure I would if I never slept. Of course, a return of the cancer is a possibility, but so far I don’t see any particular reason to think that’s what’s happening.
