After digesting Barbara Ricci's last statement containing an admission that Cousins' has done NOTHING for the people of Westchester (for valid reasons in Ms. Ricci's opinion) and the statement that funding doesn't mean a thing, I hereby retract my nomination of Ms. Ricci for Cousins' spokesperson.

Funding doesn't mean anything? That makes no sense.
Nobody says that Cousins is a bad person. The thought that she is ineffective becuase of a lack of effort is scary. If she wasn't giving Westchester her best, she should have stepped down months ago. She promised improvements on Day One. We are still waiting. Is she still drawing a paycheck while producing NOTHING?
You may not like Nick Spano beacuase he is a Republican, but you have to admit that he served Westchester well as Senator and continues to serve Westchester well in his new role. Politics is not a spectator sport. Nick Spano was born with the Eye of the Tiger & plenty of back bone.

Ben,

Let's give Senator Cousins a break lend her some slack, her husband just died of cancer, that's enough for anyone to endure without being a senator. Funding doesn't mean a thing if it doesn't do what it suppose to do for the school system. I have interviewed enough children, adults, teachers, politicians and elected officials to know, the funding doesn't go where it's suppose to be going. Don't blame that on Senator Cousins, she hasn't had a chance to give us her best, let her be, she'll either get the eye of the tiger and get re-elected or she'll resign. I think she's a woman of substance, she just needs a back bone.

Happy New Year 2008!

Cousins has done wonders for the children of Long Island. Unfortunately, she has done NOTHING for Westchester.

Her press spokesman quit because he is a "kinetic person?" You cannot accuse Cousins of being "kinetic!"

Thank you for the nomination Ben, but I am extremely busy with The Westchester News, but I will be backing Senator Cousins in her re-election. She has done a lot more in the short time she has been Senator than Nick Spano has done in 12 years. Senator Cousins cares about the deplorable conditions that children "have been" going to school in for the last 12 years that Nick Spano was "supposing" to be bring in so much funding. The Feds will decide if Nick Spano will be a "Senator" again, not Nick Spano. After all, everybody knows that all the elections in Westchester County are fixed, so in reality, who really cares. If Nick Spano got you your job, then it's only right you back him, what's right is right, he's the God-father of Westchester County, kiss his ring while you're kissing his azz.

I nominate Symra Brandon for Chief of Staff. She has screwed everything else up, I am sure she would fit right in with Cousins.

Tom's a nice guy, but as he said, this job was not really made for him. He should do what he loves, and it is clear that is in the music arena. What Senator Stewart-Cousins needs is a Chief of Staff who will always be one step ahead of her, thinking the way she thinks and standing up for the causes she stands up for. I am sure she will find such a person shortly who will assist her in being re-elected to the Senate next November.

The republicans have target Cousins for good reason. Cousins has proven as predicted to be an ineffective Senator, Westchester County, Yonkers and Greenburg are paying the price for electing a person who does not have the ability or know how to make things happen in Albany.
