Fark.com, a social networking Web site whose users submit stories they believe are notÂÂ newsworthy, saw fit to post a Gannett News Service story this weekend on controlling the volume of movie theater trailers and commercials. Assemblywoman Sandra Galef, D-Ossining, has submitted legislation that would prevent theaters from playing ads and trailers at a louder volume than movies.
The following description is on the Web site:
“Having rid New York state of crime, corruption, high taxes, pollution, traffic, potholes, cockroaches, rats, silverfish, illegal immigrants and Hamptons (expletive deleted,) state assemblywoman declares war on loud movie theatres.”
The item was posted Saturday on http://www.fark.com/politics/.

Doesn’t she have anything better to do. Is this what we send an Assemblyperson to Albany for. They have more important issues to do.
What a useless piece of legislation. Why doesn’t she tackle High Propert Taxes, School Funding. Or is this Assemblywoman out of ideas.
I agree she is a do nothing state assemblywoman. If she believes that these types of bills will ever pass, she does not know how the political game is played. It is ashame do to the fact that she has been in the Assembly since 1983. Currently there are no bill in the Senate. So all this is, is a way that she can get her name in the paper and a way that people can talk about her. I hear that their is a serious candidate running against her in 2008. Do to the fact that she has done nothing in the Assembly she can be beat when she runs for reelection this year.
I have to make a correction. She has been in the Assembly since 1993
