A chance encounter in New Hampshire

Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in 2008, Mike Huckabee, Rudy Giuliani on Jan 08, 2008

The first voting — as opposed to caucusing — of the 2008 presidential race is underway in New Hampshire and that means the candidates are out making last ditch efforts to build support and great voters.

Visiting a Manchester polling place this morning, Rudy Giuliani had an unexpected encounter with somebody who wont be voting — rival GOP candidate Mike Huckabee. The two candidates exchanged a friendly greeting and then went their seperate ways.

Interestingly, Giuliani, who has faced criticism for not putting enough effort into his New Hampshire campaign, is spending the entire day in Manchester. Other candidates are making stops around the state.

Giuliani’s schedule has him greeting supporters at several spots around Manchester and then making primary-night remarks at a local hotel.

RE: State GOP Rudy “Kool-aid” gang.

Just got phone call (Could be spin to me from them) But….

In the Florida “Panhandle,” Rudy is getting beat bad in the polls, (RE: Socila Conservatives) thus reflecting his second and soon third place finish as of now in Florida. I should note that Rudy is heading down to Florida tonight and will work it for weeks.

In short, Rudy is losing Florida, he knows it and is going through the motions in NH to now stop from losing third place to the Huckster.
Rudy is also losing MI & SC for that matter.

In other words, after the Florida lose, that will be the end of Rudy.

I do agree that little, little hope holds out if McCain wins tonight, but that diminishes Rudy further upon another McCain Victory in MI and SC. (If that should happen)

Either way, Rudy has made many, many contacts nationwide to enhance his company. He also maintains the power of his endorsement and then will campaign for the victor. Perhaps deal for Rudy for position in cabinet etc…
