Students greet Clinton in Concord

January
8

Many New Hampshire public schools are in session today even though their buildings are being used as polling places.

As a result, students have been able to see democracy in action and â€â€Å“ in some cases â€â€Å“ participate in some electioneering.

Sue Martin, a sixth grade teacher at the Broken Ground School in Concord, N.H. brought the 21 students in her class outside the school at midday today to meet Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, who dropped by to greet voters.

“She was very personable and thanked them,’’ said Martin, whose students each carried homemade posters for presidential candidates ranging from Clinton, to Sen. Barack Obama, former Sen. John Edwards and former Gov. Mitt Romney.

“These students have researched the candidates of their choice,’’ said Martin, indicating the class was split among the six Democratic and Republican frontrunners. An informal count â€â€Å“ taken as the students held the signs over their heads on yardsticks â€â€Å“ found Clinton and Obama as the most popular.

“They have all made power point presentations or advertisements or other forms of projects to show what they know,’’ said Martin. “A lot of them are interested in education, what’s going on in Iraq and the environment.’’ Her objective: educating a new generation of informed voters.

Could be the students are meeting Hill the Thrill
to show her the way out of the state.

Yesterday, Billy C. blamed the media, now he’s
blaming the timing of the New Hampshire primary.

Bill and Hill can’t ever blame themselves. Narcissists
    are incapable of such self-admonitions.

And talk about global warming—- There is a meltdown
of Camp Clinton now taking place in wintry New Hampshire.
And the climate for the Clintons is not going to be
any better in South Carolina, either.

Who knows, for a change, she may actually have to do some
work for NY. THAT would be different.
