Sen. Chuck Schumer is expected to make a stop in Mount Vernon early this afternoon to attend the United Black Clergy of Westchester Martin Luther King Day celebration at Grace Baptist Church on Sixth Avenue.
It’s part of a busy day of MLK commemorations for the senator that, according to his schedule, started at 8 a.m. with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, went on to Queens for a United Negro College Fund event, swung by the Brooklyn Academy of Music and, after Mount Vernon, will wrap up at the Coop Community Center in the Bronx.
