That's what the President and the majority of GOP congressmen are saying. Instead of ignoring abuses of the system, there should be a plan to get the freeloaders off and get more kids on. That's all. A responsible, fiscally conservative argument. BUT, the Democrats won't have it because they look at S-CHIP as the first step towards socialized medicine. Now, you'll never get them to admit that but that's what it's all about. It's a back door attempt for government takeover of medical care in this country and it didn't fly.
