Rockland for Obama event set for Saturday

January
23

Rockland supporters of Barack Obama’s Democratic presidential bid plan to gather this Saturday at the Nyack Center “to hear prominent elected and community speakers discuss the burgeoning Obama movement.”

State Senator Bill Perkins, Rockland Legislator Bill Darden, and other community leaders “will be on hand to talk about why Rockland County, New York, and the country is joining forces to elect Barack Obama as the next president of the United States,” according to organizer Howard Megdal, Director of Rockland for Obama.

Doors will open at 7:45 p.m. A limited number of bumper stickers and buttons will also be available, and organizers will be providing updated results from South Carolina’s Democratic primary as the night goes on.
