Nick Spano’s thoughts on McCain

January
30

Former state Sen. Nick Spano has made it clear that who the GOP nominates to run for president will have an impact on whether he runs for his old seat again. Spano, who had backed Rudy Giuliani’s candidacy, had this to say in an e-mail today:

“I was proud to support “America’s mayor” as the friendly son from New York. Senator McCain will be a real independent and moderate Republican who will change the broken ways of Washington. I will continue to weigh my options and hear the opinions of the people of Westchester.”

Spano comment…Senator McCain will be a real independent and moderate Republican who will change the broken ways of Washington. I will continue to weigh my options and hear the opinions of the people of Westchester.

Spin at work already to paint McCain as a “Moderate” by Spano. Same words many use about Rudy. “Moderate” in press means Liberal.

McCain fares toward Conservative before Moderate leanings otherwise he would not be where he is today on the National level.

In anycase, Spano could work with McCain ontop of the ticket as he will spin McCain as Moderate from here on in.

When is this guy going to say something that has some bearing on his usefulness other than “coat-tails?

RINO Spano wants to run on the same ticket with RINO McCain? There’s a shock.

What is a RINO? Any relation to a rhino?

As if anyone gives a damn about what SpaNO has to say about anything…

    RINO…Republican in name only.

Nick Spano would sell his soul (and may have done so
already) for votes. Principles? What are those?

I remain unconvinced he is really done with Zehy Jereis.
I think Jereis is “The Man Who Knew Too Much” when it
comes to Nick Spano. People like that are always around,
even if publicly way under the radar.

But Cousins is of no use, either.

Nicky – You know alot of people in Westchester miss you. Some folks just don’t understand that politics is politics – and that’s that!

I hope you run again soon! I even think you would make a terrific COUNTY EXECUTIVE!!!!!!!!!
