The surrogates campaign in New York

Posted by: Glenn Blain - Posted in 2008, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Westchester County, Westchester Democrats on Feb 01, 2008

Polls show Hillary Clinton and John McCain with sizable leads in New York, so that may explain why none of the major candidates for president have scheduled any appearances in the state this weekend.

But that doesn’t mean their campaigns wont be at work here as we head toward the Super Tuesday primary. Both the Clinton and Obama campaigns have rallies and other events planned throughout the region.

In Westchester, the Clinton campaign has scheduled a Saturday afternoon rally featuring members of Congress Nita Lowey, John Hall and Eliot Engel. The event begins at 2 p.m. at 1133 Westchester Avenue – The Atrium – in White Plains.

Barack Obama’s supporters will gather at noon Saturday on the Bedford Village Green. That rally will feature Ted Sorensen, a former speech writer for President John F. Kennedy.

McCain’s campaign doesn’t have any events planned in the region this weekend, says Westchester Coordinator Jim Colman. Volunteers will staff telephone banks throughout the weekend, he added.

And McCain is also expected to attend a rally at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut at 1 p.m. Sunday.

What I dont understand is how anyone can take Hillary seriously. She is the most DIS-respected wife in the history of politics. Her man was a cheatin’ hound dog, and she never had the stones to stand up to him.

How can she feel ready to be the moral leader of the country, when she allowed her husband to cheat and lie. She loves to take credit for the good stuff, but does she forget her husband was almost impeached for being a lying scoundrel?
