Pataki To Endorse McCain

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Feb 04, 2008

After staying politically silent for months, former Gov. George Pataki will endorse Arizona Sen. John McCain at a news conference this afternoon at Grand Central Station in Manhattan.
“Gov. Pataki will be endorsing at 3 o’clock today,” Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno said at a McCain rally in Albany.
When the crowd offered little reaction, Bruno said “yes, we should clap for that.” Loud applause followed.
The New York Times last week had an article about Pataki has been virtually absent from the political scene after he stopped pursuing his own presidential bid.
But with former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani out of the race, New York Republicans have been flocking to McCain’s campaign, evidenced by the rally today in Albany when many state Republican senators and Assembly Republicans praised McCain.

The kiss of death. Pataki gave lip service to efficient government, surrounded himself with various nitwits, and found a way to give away the house. Not that it’s any better now, but he was supposed to know better.
