Clinton on her income tax return

February
26

Because she recently loaned her presidential campaign $5 million, Hillary Rodham Clinton has been unde pressure to publicly release her joint income tax return so voters can find out the source of the money.

Clinton has promised to release the documents if she becomes the Democrats residential nominee. Pressed on the issue at tonight’s debate, she indicated it might be released even before she becomes the nominee.

But not before Tuesday’s primaries in Ohio and Texas. “I’m a little busy right now,’’ Clinton said. “I hardly have time to sleep.’’

Does it take long to “release” tax returns. You just show the signed form from last year! She is playing games.

  2. Ethan Edwards

This was one of her worst moments last night.

It is very likely that she doesn’t want to
release them because of all the foreign “consulting”
money in there —money Bill C. has been getting
in large sums. That also is probably the source of
the $5 million she recently loaned her campaign.

  3. Don in Stoughton

Gee, does this also mean that Mrs. Clinton won’t release her MEDICAL RECORDS either, like her husband?

Are we then getting a “pig in the poke” for President?

Someone who is NOT HEALTHY ENOUGH to be President?

Another Tommy W. Wilson, FDR, JFK and WJC who refused to release their medical records?

Why is the media silent on this?

    GOD help us.

    YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT:-)

If you think Barack Obama with little or no experience would be better than Hillary Clinton with 35 years experience.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can fix an economy on the verge of collapse better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) led the greatest economic expansion, and prosperity in American history.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience fighting for universal health care can get it for you better than Hillary Clinton. Who anticipated this current health care crisis back in 1993, and fought a pitched battle against overwhelming odds to get universal health care for all the American people.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) went to war only when he was convinced that he absolutely had to. Then completed the mission in record time against a nuclear power. AND DID NOT LOSE THE LIFE OF A SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER. NOT ONE!

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience saving the environment is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) left office with the greatest amount of environmental cleanup, and protections in American history.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with little or no education experience is better than Hillary Clinton. Whose ;-) husband (Bill Clinton) made higher education affordable for every American. And created higher job demand and starting salary’s than they had ever been before or since.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that Obama with no experience will be better than Hillary Clinton who spent 8 years at the right hand of President Bill Clinton. Who is already on record as one of the greatest Presidents in American history.

    You Might Be An Idiot!

If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..

Dear jack…it also could be argued that someone who
posts the same thing at least three times is a
few kernels short of an ear of corn.

    Once was enough.

dear Jack…I am counting on the democrats to nominate
the man they fell in love with not the most experienced
that way the REpublicans can kick his butt..but you
guys are used to this aren;t you..I mean after all
Jimmy Carter, Mike Dukaka, Adelai Stevenson, Hubert
Horatio Humphrey, and last but not least George McGovern

She probably hasn’t filed a return since Vince Foster became suicided.

Again, the song is gone, but the malady lingers on.

YOU MIGHT BE AN IDIOT IF . . .

You think that Hillary Clinton has 35 years of experience. 35 years ago she was 25 and either in law school or 1 year out of law school. Please, please, please tell me what executive experience she was gaining 35 years ago.

Will someone please explain this to me?

  11. Carolyn Phillips

I know I voted for Bill Clinton twice, but have no recall
of voting for Hillary. You don’t acquire “experience” through “osmosis.” The experience comes from BEING President, and in some cases, as with George W., that isn’t
always the case! Hillary Clinton has “life experience” for
sure…such as dealing with an unfaithful husband, being a “union buster” while working for Walmart, the Whitewater
scandal, and the list goes on! Why won’t she make her income taxes available. Why won’t she release her Whitehouse
records? Hillary Clinton plays dirty, and wants to win, even if it means destroying the democratic party. She has
no moral fiber, and no sense of decency. The Republicans
would love to have the chance to expose her for who she really is!

  12. Compujock

jacksmith MUST BE AN IDIOT if he really believes all that hog-wash he posted.

  13. Jackie

Jack MUST BE AN IDIOT because no one has 35 years experience as a president. Repeat Hillary has no experience other than sleeping with a former president,

    AND SO DID
    Monica Lewinsky

    AND SO DID
    Paula Jones

    AND SO DID
    Linda Tripp

AND SO ON AND SO ON…

Who do you think will answer the phone at 3:00am?

Qualites of a good leader are:

    Integrity
Integrity means alignment of words and actions with inner values. It means sticking to these values even when an alternative path may be easier or more advantageous.

A leader with integrity can be trusted and will be admired for sticking to strong values. They also act as a powerful model for people to copy, thus building an entire organization with powerful and effective cultural values.

    Dedication
Dedication means spending whatever time and energy on a task is required to get the job done, rather than giving it whatever time you have available.

The work of most leadership positions is not something to do ‘if time’. It means giving your whole self to the task, dedicating yourself to success and to leading others with you.

    Magnanimity
A magnanimous person gives credit where it is due. It also means being gracious in defeat and allowing others who are defeated to retain their dignity.

Magnanimity in leadership includes crediting the people with success and accepting personal responsibility for failures.

    Humility
Humility is the opposite of arrogance and narcissism. It means recognizing that you are not inherently superior to others and consequently that they are not inferior to you. It does not mean diminishing yourself, nor does it mean exalting yourself.

Humble leaders do not debase themselves, neither falsely nor due to low self-esteem. They simply recognize all people as equal in value and know that their position does not make them a god.

    Openness
Openness means being able to listen to ideas that are outside one’s current mental models, being able to suspend judgement until after one has heard someone else’s ideas.

An open leader listens to their people without trying to shut them down early, which at least demonstrates care and builds trust. Openness also treats other ideas as potentially better than one’s own ideas. In the uncertain world of new territory, being able to openly consider alternatives is an important skill.

    Creativity
Creativity means thinking differently, being able to get outside the box and take a new and different viewpoint on things.

For a leader to be able to see a new future towards which they will lead their followers, creativity provides the ability to think differently and see things that others have not seen, and thus giving reason for followers to follow.

Of these 6 qualites Obama has all 6 and Hillary only 1, dedication…she is dedicated to getting what she wants at all costs and has no:

Openeness – release your tax records and donors to the Clinton Library
Magnanimity – when was the last time she congradualted Obama…he congratulated her after her win in Ohio and Rhode Island
Humility – you have got to be kidding, she uses the word I more than anyone…she is in love with herself and beleives she knows it all…god help us if she becomes our leader.
Creativity – She will use the same people her husband used in the white house and we will not have the needed new fresh ideas required for a new and more challenging era.
Integrity – again, are you kidding…america agrees she is the least rusted canidate in every poll on the subject.

Obama vs. Clinton—“Who’s trying to fool who?”

The Clintons and their staff warn voters not to be fooled by words.
The Clintons argue Barack Obama is nothing more than form—no substance—words not actions. Hillary’s camp boasts she is the candidate we can count on to get things done.

Mrs. Clinton and her staff’s pitch is that she’s the choice for action. Actions speak louder than words. Don’t be fooled—vote for Hillary—I get it.

But I don’t get the Clinton camp’s failure to act and failure to meet the standard they say I should use to judge the candidates.

Declaring you are the candidate that gets things done, then going on to refuse to do something your opponent has already done—makes me wonder, “What are they thinking?” I am guessing she and her husband have something really BIG to hide. If they want to win undecided voters like me, they may want to re-think their pitch about the whole “actions vs. words” narrative—or finally, act quickly and put the tax return issue to rest.

Clearly, the issue cannot be that she is too busy and can’t find the time for months to make a photo copy. Does she really expect me to believe that she can handle the difficult jobs, but does not know how to get clerical tasks accomplished?

I have used a copier before and I know plenty of other people that know how to use one. Really, making a copy is a simple thing. If the Clintons and their staff cannot accomplish that within a day or so—how can they expect us to believe they can accomplish difficult things? Can you imagine, “We would like to address the economy and the war, and we will, as soon as we figure out how to use the copier.”

I don’t understand why Mrs. Clinton and her staff beg to be judged by actions—and then instead of acting—They choose to hide behind words.
    They attack.
    They deflect.
    They bob and weave.
    They make excuses.
Then, they make more outrageous claims.
And with a straight face, they give answers like “on or about April 15th.”
    Then they attack again.

And in response to a silly answer like “on or about April 15th” what has the press done?
    Nothing.

How long is the press going to continue to let Mr. and Mrs. Clinton skate on their failure to provide copies of their tax return? Where is the Press’ outrage that the Clinton’s have not provided a copy by now? Talk about special treatment. Talk about your free rides.

    Sincerely,

    Undecided and Dismayed
And craving fair, balanced, and investigative reporting
