Hillary Clinton’s wins in Texas, Ohio and Rhode Island don’t seem to have surprised Sen. Charles Schumer, according a report from Gannett News Service’s Erin Kelly.

“Hillary is a fighter,” Schumer said. “You never count her out. She has been tried and tested. She knows how to take a punch.”

Schumer said Clinton is steadily winning over Americans the way she won over New Yorkers in her Senate campaigns.

“She doesn’t do it in a dramatic way, not with one speech or something like that,” he said. “But rather she just works and works and works. She focuses on things people care about. I saw this happen in New York, especially in upstate. And I think the same thing is going to happen here.”
