Spano to have tests at Westchester Medical Center

March

County Executive Andrew Spano will have an angiogram at Westchester Medical Center tomorrow morning, his office just reported.

Deputy County Executive Larry Schwartz said Spano, 72, has been experiencing experiencing “minor discomfort” over the past few weeks and was advised by his doctor to have the test.

The test, which is often done to identify blocked arteries, involves threading a catheter through a blood vessel until it reaches the heart and then injecting dye to examine the arteries with a special X-ray.

“The results of the angiogram will determine what else might be needed and that will be discussed between Andy and his doctor,” Schwartz said.Schwartz, however, stressed that Spano was in overall good health and still intends to run for re-election in 2009.

So, is it a coincidence that Andy Spano, George Pataki & Nita Lowey have all been feeling ill since the Westchester Republicans have stepped out of the shadows? This is gonna be a fun couple of years!
