John Hall sees economy as the top issue

If you happen to be awake at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, you can catch an interview with Rep. John Hall on WNBC-TV’s News Forum. According to a transcript, the interview deals mostly with Halls work on the issues of global warming and veterans’ benefits.

But Hall, who made the war in Iraq a focal point of his 2006 campaign against Rep. Sue Kelly, also looked ahead to his first re-election campaign this fall. He predicted the economy will be the deciding issue in this contest.

“I think that the big news of today, which is the big news of the last couple of months, is that in February the country lost 63,000 jobs, was the biggest decline in the labor market in five years,” Hall told WNBC’s Jay DeDapper.

So far, Hall has two announced Republican challengers: Iraq War veteran Kieran Lalor and Westchester Legislator George Oros.

The interview also featured a humorus exchange Hall and DeDapper over whether Hall can be called a pop star because of his membership in the 1970’s band Orleans.

“You can call me a musician, songwriter and guitarist,” Hall said, adding later that “I lean toward the more modest descriptions.”

DeDapper replied: “Pop star sounds more like Britney Spears or something. We don’t want to steer you in that league.”

Hall’s done nothing on the economy but vote in lockstep with Nancy Pelosi and her failed liberal policies.

Comparing Hall to Britney Spears is insulting—to Britney. At least Britney isn’t harming anybody but herself. Hall is a disaster for an entire Congressional district.

Speaking of Kieran Lalor, this week he announced a major new fundraising initiative- he opened a page on CafePress. Way to rake it in! Probably earning tens of dollars every week. (BTW, for a guy who’s so patriotic, I found it ironically funny that only one item in his CafePress store is made in America. Why do you hate America?)

Oh yeah, this is the guy I’d want in Congress rebuilding the economy…not. Only 35 donors in his FEC filing, less than $30K raised, and “Major policy position papers” posted on a free Blogspot page.

Oh, I see. Two years ago, when Sue Kelly was the opponent, and she did nothing to stop the war, the war was the issue. Now that Hall’s been in office for two years, and HE’S done nothing to stop the war, the issue is the economy.

How in God’s name can a major issue change so suddenly like that, especially since the war is still going on? The answer is…....IT CAN’T.

Hall’s a phony, and that’s all there is too it.
