Spitzer Gets Appointee On Thruway Authority Board

March
7

Gov. Eliot Spitzer has argued that he can’t influence the Thruway Authority to not raise tolls because all the appointees on its board were made under former Republican Gov. George Pataki.

He can’t make that claim anymore.

Spitzer announced today that he will nominate Brandon R. Sall to serve as a member of the board the Thruway Authority and Canal Corporation. Still, the other six members are Pataki appointees.

Each member serves a nine-year, unpaid term. The Senate would have to approve his appointment.

Sall currently serves as a law partner at Schuman, Sall, and Geist in White Plains.

Good luck, Brandon R. Sall. You are now known as what they call a Prince without a Sire.

Good news, albeit a bit late-
We have a petition to make sure this appointment does not go through. The petition is going to Gov. Paterson, so please sign it. Say NO to Pay to Play Politics and no to Brandon Sall’s appointment.
