Spitzer, wife canceling public events

March
10

Governor Spitzer—and yes, he’s still governor at this point—canceled a planned stop tonight at the Labor Research Association 31st Annual Labor Awards Dinner and has now wiped clear his schedule for tomorrow.

Here’s what he was supposed to be doing:

1. Unspecified event, time and subject TBA, Albany.

2. 12:30 p.m.: Deliver remarks at the New York State Hospitality and Tourism Association Annual Summit, Albany.

3. 6:30 p.m. Attends Association for a Better New York Award Ceremony Honoring First Lady Silda Wall Spitzer, Blue Fin Restaurant, New York City. (His wife has also cancelled her schedule for the day.)

I just heard Congressman King call Eliot (client # 9) the most self-righteous person he had ever met.

Maybe I am jaded but this type of behavior from politicians no longer shocks me. What I find inexplicable is the wife is always there by the disgraced politician’s side. To even ask her to stand there as a prop is cruel. I would hold my own press conference announcing my intention to file for divorce. The call girl got $ 4300 for this tryst. If I was the wife I would be mad about that waste of money as well.

The both of them are multi-millionaires. She probably spends $4300 on her nail appointment. Agree, however, with all the rest.
