Congressman John Hall, a Democrat, issued this statement in the wake of Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s resignation:
“I look forward to working with David Paterson, who now has both the responsibility and the opportunity to address the many challenges facing New York State.ÂÂ After this shocking and disappointing turn of events, I hope that Lieutenant Governor Paterson’s swearing in will be the first step toward refocusing on moving New York State forward.”
