The problem is that it stops being a “private matter” when there are concerns over whether state funds or campaign funds were used as part of the “private matter”.

It is hardly a suprise that the Albany slimesters would say it’s Paterson’s personal business. You can bet some of them have the same issues on the side.

The old Silver fox would love it if he could enforce “stop your searches, people.” The first amendment and the due process clause of the fourteenth amendment are, thankfully, pesky little impediments in his path.
