why doesn't albany just pass a law regarding special elections? make it mandatory, like upon the vacancy an election should be held a month and a half from the effective date unless the vacancy is six months or less from the date of a general election, then it should just go to the special... it's an idea, but it needs to be worked on and the system changed.

you'd think with someone like greg ball on the election law committee in albany, he would propose such legislation, but he doesn't care about or know how to do his job.

Uhm. Ms. Corey needs to get her story straight. Just 3 weeks ago she and her St. Lawrence County GOP counterpart said that a special election should NOT be called before the general. Which is it?
