Philipstown Council of Governments

March
20

Putnam Legislator Vincent Tamagna, R-Philipstown, has proposed the formation of a Philipstown council of governments to look for ways to consolidate services and thus save money.

The council would include representatives from Philipstown, the villages of Cold Spring and Nelsonville, the Garrison and Haldane school districts and Putnam County.

“We must make every attempt to rein in costs and yet provide all the services wanted and needed in our communities,” Tamagna said.

I think this is an idea worth exploring, and would be happy to represent the Garrison school district.
