Dopp is now immune; Spitzer will be villified and Soares will wash his hands and say: Let the Feds handle it. (If Spitzer hadn’t resigned or been thrown out, Soares would have said it was all too confusing and to let bygones be bygones.) Although no one cares any longer about Spitzer in Albany, Dopp is finished as a lobbyist. Who would trust him? You don’t rob a bank with someone who has turned state’s evidence.

I think we need a discussion about frivolous lawsuits
which are aimed at stopping prosecutors from discharging
their constitutional obligationl…the recent mount
vernon indictments are a complete rebutall of those
who said that federal authorities were attempting to
influence the election..and the zherka lawsuit
against various unnamed defendants in the face of
an investigation by the manhattan county da is another
example…the justice system needs to sanction these
kinds of lawsuits and sanction the lawyers who file
them..in fact a grievance may be appropriate

Apparently, Soares’ report will say that Spitzer was in this all the way. Deeply. Instigated it. Also, Soares apparently is angry that “Quality Inn” Paterson has been stalling on whether to release e-mails of Spitzer’s, and others, which may be important.

Paterson may try to withhold them based on “executive privilege” for Spitzer.

Meantime, the Democratic mayor of Detroit now has been indicted for perjury related to a sex scandal of sorts. Paterson, Spitzer, McGreevey. This is the “party of the people?” Which “people” would that be? Hookers, and women and even men they can exploit, etc.?

The Westchester County Legislature and many of its Democrats have their own problems—expenses, and a lack of reason for existing, period. County govt. should be abolished to the point where it is reduced to an executive and a staff of about 40.

And then there is Mt. Vernon and its recent Democratic administration under Ernie Davis. Yeah.

Leading this former prosecutor to believe that in
return for the grant of immunity Dopp will indeed
indicate that Spitzer was up to his eyeballs in the
Troopergate scandal..and will probably face charges
from the Albany County DA’s office in addition to
whatever charges may be brought federally
