Gov. David Paterson’s tenure has gotten off to a somewhat rocky start, but he still enjoys the confidence of New York voters, according to a Siena College Research Insitute Poll out today.
Sixty percent of voters, according to the poll, are very or somewhat confident that Paterson and state leaders will solve the state’s problems. And 60 percent also believe that the change from Eliot Spitzer to Paterson will be good for New York.
Overall. Paterson is viewed favorably by 58 percent of voters and unfavorably by 10 percent.,
And, according to Siena spokesman Steven Greenberg: “Paterson’s standing with voters did not change appreciably over the course of the week, despite the headlines and stories.”

Talk about “the triumph of hope over experience”!
Right. And Siena would have beaten No. Carolina and UCLA. This article goes to show how dumb some people are, ether the pollsters or the people polled, or both.
How can anybody have confidence in Paterson? Ed’s right. Some of those polled should acquaint themselves with Missouri, the “Show Me” state.
The way our taxes have escalated in New York State, how could anyone have ANY TRUST in any of the elected officials. People have homes they can not pay for, they have school taxes that they can not pay.
New York Laws need immediate change and the comfy officials in Albany meet and talk, send things to committee and meet and talk. Nothing more. Have confidence in a New York Elected official? What a joke.
