It would seem that other uses could be done at this site on the sound. Some of the rides are outdated and after going on a visit there two years ago, it was sad to see little use of some rides. I do not have any suggestions for other recreational uses, but I am sure there are some. The bath house has been in need for a very long time. The cost estimates come from the department of Public Works - also under the Governement Operations Committee. Sounds like a smart move for the Committee to actually go out and see what the money would be spent on - instead of relying on photos and hearsay. Playland is historic – built in the 20’s.
