Obama widens national lead over Clinton, but trails in Pa.
Barack Obama has widened his lead nationally over Hillary Rodham Clinton to 10 points, 50 percent to 40 percent, in a new USA Today/Gallup poll of Democrats and independents who lean Democratic.
That’s a three point improvement over Obama’s 49 percent to 42 percent in mid-March.
The latest survey, conducted Friday through Sunday, had a margin of error of 5 percentage points, plus or minus, among the 552 voters questioned.
However, two Pennsylvania polls released today found Obama has not been able to close Clinton’s lead in the Keystone State, where tomorrow’s primary is open only to registered Democrats.
A Quinnipiac University poll released this morning found Clinton with a 7 point lead in Pennsylvania, 51 percent to 44 percent. The Friday through Sunday telephone survey of 1,027 likey Democratic voters had a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
Last week’s survey by Quinnipiac found Clinton with a 6 point lead of 50 percent to 44 percent.
“Pennsylvania voters apparently made up their minds a couple of weeks ago and nothing has happened since to change them,’’ Clay F. Richards, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Instituted, stated in a press release. “An extraordinary turnout effort by Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign could snatch this victory from Sen. Hillary Clinton, but that does not appear likely.â€
Clinton has an even bigger lead—10 points—in a new Suffolk University poll, which found her ahead 52 percent to 42 percent. Suffolk’s survey of 600 likely voters conducted Saturday and Sunday had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percent.
According to Suffolk University, ‘’A majority of respondents (56 percent) said they watched the ABC televised debate, while 44 percent did not. Clinton was the apparent winner among those who watched the debate: 46 percent said they were most impressed by her, 26 percent indicated Obama, and 28 percent were undecided.’’

The ABC debate was an ambush by an ex-Clinton aide and Mrs. Clinton on Senator Obama. But given the opportunity to hit her hard on her Bosnia lies, Obama chose the high road. Hillary, however, got as low as she could, having learned from Monica Lewinsky, Tonya Harding and the Rove playbook. She has run a disgusting negative race and may still be able to steal the nomination, having mugged Obama over and over again. She cares not one bit about the Democratic Party, about the nation. She will lie to the American people from Day One. Either she lied repeatedly about coming sniper fire, and do we want a liar in the WH, and one who gets caught on tape lying? Or she could not tell fantasy from reality, and do we want a crazy woman as president? She is either a liar or loony. What we do know is that she a multi-millionaire passing herself off as blue-collar, the elitist wife of a US president, the most elite position there is on this planet, pretending to be joe-sixpack. Her character is odious. If she becomes President, our US history books will have to note that the first woman president was, as her friend Elton John boasted of her, a b****. Being more polite, I’d say she is Lady Hillary Macbeth and Catherine the Great all rolled into one.
I recommend reading the editorial in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, a conservative paper, on Sunday April 20. It strikes me as a well thought out evaluation of the issues. Obama is not ready to be President, Hillary is.
You’re both wrong. Neither one is ready or will be president. McCain isn’t great by any means, but compared to that pair of deuces—he’s an ace. In this card game, one ace beats a pair of deuces.
MY FELLOW “BITTERâ€, STUPID, WORKING CLASS PEOPLE :-)

You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you think that Obama with no experience can manage, and get us out of two wars better than Hillary Clinton. If you think that you can change the way Washington works with pretty speeches from Obama, rather than with the experience, and political expertise of two master politicians ON YOUR SIDE like Hillary and Bill Clinton..
You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you think all those Republicans voting for Obama in the Democratic primaries, and caucuses are doing so because they think he is a stronger Democratic candidate than Hillary Clinton. :-)

p.s. You Might Be An Idiot! :-)
If you don’t know that the huge amounts of money funding the Obama campaign to try and defeat Hillary Clinton is coming in from the insurance, and medical industry, that has been ripping you off, and killing you and your children. And denying you, and your loved ones the life saving medical care you needed. All just so they can make more huge immoral profits for them-selves off of your suffering…
You see, back in 1993 Hillary Clinton had the audacity, and nerve to try and get quality, affordable universal health care for everyone to prevent the suffering and needless deaths of hundreds of thousands of you each year. :-)
Approx. 100,000 of you die each year from medical accidents from a rush to profit by the insurance, and medical industry. Another 120,000 of you die each year from treatable illness that people in other developed countries don’t die from. And I could go on, and on…
And you do, and do
You might also be an idiot if you keep pasting the same damn post at the slightest mention of Obama’s name.
Got anything original to add? I doubt it.
