Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in 2008, Hillary Clinton on Apr 23, 2008

The group known as “Travelers For Hillary,” made up of farmers, wine growers, rural and economic developers from upstate New York, are stumping for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton in Indiana today.A subgroup called “New York Farmers” will be joining Clinton at a rally in Indianapolis before hosting a round table in Tipton.

The farmers include Ed King, a senior member of the King’s Ransom Farm in Saratoga County, and Roxaina Hurlburt, a partner with seven other dairy farmers in Mercer’s Diary inBoonville, Oneida County.

(Clinton is seen at left during her annual New York Farm Day held last September in Washington with Freshwise Farms near Rochester.)

Not to be confused with a much larger group of supporters known as “Fellow Travelers for Hillary.”

The big farmers are about the only ones making money in upstate NY. They love what ethanol has done for them. Not to mention everyone’s grocery bills.

Clinton has done nothing to help upstate NY. Nothing. Despite all her promises in 2000.

So after Hil’s pandering photo ops in PA swilling beer, downing whiskey shots and reminiscing about her days as the great white wabbit hunter, is she going to don a pair of overalls and milk a cow or slop some piggies in IN?

These ol’ boy “farmers” look pretty prosperous.
