Another person anxious to hide behind anonymity and
rely on personal attacks...hope your family never
has an accident or gets poisoned by food, or any one
of hundreds of things that would make you say hey..
maybe the person doing the act should be punished for
his negligence...and I also hope you don't know any
of our 9/11 heroes who are suffering debilitating diseases
and without our assistance would not have any chance
of being compensated for what they went through at
ground zero..its easy to throw out the words ambulance
chaser...what is it you do for a living..I am sure
I can make a great deal of fun out of it as well
but bottom line is it shows you have very little class
kind of like the tennesee republican party now attacking
michelle obama...

Lou, stop shilling for Mike Edelman. He can defend himself. That is when his hands are not full chasing ambulances. Lou, please stick to what you best at: cleaning toilets and collecting government subsidies.

While you are at you may want to go back to school and pick up a GED as obviously the educational system of this country has failed you miserably.

anti is more than bitter..it comes across..anyone who
tracks what I said clearly has isues....you will note
that I was NOT made the chairman of the party...
that should be a clear indication of my lack of participation in THE PARTY...and yes I have been
critical of the party just as congressman davis
has recently in light of the poor showing
in three congressional races...you will note that
those who I specifically have been critical of
are no longer leaders...funny how things work out.
the poster named anti seems to desperately want me
to change my registration....apparently he thinks
his credentials as a republican are the only ones
that count...but if you ask a whole host of people
they probably would dispute that and would have
no idea who anti is even if he decided to reveal
his identity...but they would be able to tell
you who I am....so here you have an obscure critic
who wants another republican to leave the party
does he think he would be asked to make public
comments...or appear on newsmakers...never happen

From a year ago on this blog.

"The latest name being circulated as a possible replacement for Westchester GOP Chairwoman RoseMarie Panio is a familiar one to those involved in county politics Republican strategist/commentator Mike Edelman.

Yonkers GOP Chairman Zehy Jereis confirmed today that Edelman is among those being considered for the job of leading Westchester’s Republican Committee, though he stressed it’s still early in the process.

“Mike Edelman has been very critical of the Republican Party over the past years, maybe he can come in and tell us what we are doing wrong,” Jereis said.

Edelman, in a telephone interview today, confirmed that he has been contacted by Republican officials about his interest in becoming chairman and said he would accept the post if it was offered to him. However, he said he is not campaigning for the job."

But again, the Consultant has nothing to do with Westchester GOP politics. The GOP reached out to him because he is just an everyday citizen who has nothing to do with politics.

Republican majority in Westchester? Good one, anti. Like all fairy tales it's not based on reality. (Although, if Spano and Ryan keep it up, it may swing that way, especially at the county level. Glad I live in Putnam...)

The way I see it, there's a serious disconnect with the GOP party line and their actions. They've gotta get back to being more like the GOP of Eisenhower's time, or even more like Nixon's era (without unnecessary wars and the paranoid lying.)

No anger, just encouragement. Please switch as soon as possible. Since you will no longer be a Republican in name (you are already not one in principle) you will no longer be quoted as "Republican" strategist Mike Edelman in newspapers and you will no longer be representing the Republican position on newsmakers. Moreover, you will be giving the same lousy advice to Democrats that you now give to Republicans. It is a win-win all-around. Unfortunately, we all know you will never do so because once you become an independent you will have no influence in either party and no one will quote you anymore. PROVE ME WRONG AND DO IT.

And yeah, you have had nothing to do with the Republican Party, Newsmakers put you on show because you were just the run of the mill Hastings resident and they just decided to pick someone out of the blue and oh yeah, when you have been quoted in the Journal News it is because you have nothing to do with the Republican Party. Fat chance. Your whole reputation or lack thereof as the case may be has been through Westchester Republican politics. And Johnnie Cochran had nothing to do with OJ's defense.

"Success has many fathers, failure is an orphan."

Walt, you and the Consultant are a good fit... in the Democratic Party. Have fun with his electoral advice. The Republicans will be the majority party in Westchester, if the Consultant becomes your party's advisor.

you predict correctly walt...their is a dynamic in politics
a pendulum if you will...some people look backward fondly
at the reagan years..unfortunately they aren't likely to
be duplicated...and those who yearn for the days of old
are going to be mighty surprised when their candidates
lose everytime ...as we just saw in the three special
elections...one of which by the way was for denny
hastert's seat...but you can see that "real" republicans
want the tent for themselves..ask anti..he will tell you
although his moniker kind of gives his mindset away
anyone who starts with the premise of being "anti"
is not exactly projecting a forward looking approach

The way things are going for the GOP since W trashed their brand, you'd be better off staying away from those who say that they're the real Republicans, Mike. When the party loses 3 Special Congressional elections, even the last one in Mississippi, ferchrissakes, if they won't change, then they deserve what they get. It's a sad day when anyone positioned in the middle is a RINO or DINO, but any party that doesn't deal with the fact that elections and the electorate go to the center, is going down the drain. It's OK to have principles and convictions, but convince me, explain them to me, don't insult me. That's where it's at right now, and those who live by that modus operandi won't be around too much longer, I predict.

actually I lost 55-45...got the gannett endorsement
as well as the daily news...but you know how hard it
is to beat an incumbant especially one who is the
heir to US plywood..However when I ran I had
respect from both sides of the aisle...how about
you...you get any major endorsements....

and Walt..anything for you...even eating rubber chicken
with the 'conservative" party...
how do you like anti's gauntlet throwing..why is he so
anxious for me to consult with the democrats..of course
I could take the postition that as a consultant
I am free to consult with anyone I think would make
a good office holder....anyone anyparty...but something
tells me anti has an interest in trying to tell republicans
that they should hire him..because he is the real republican

The deal remains, you leave the party and consult for the Democrats, which is your true allegiance and I will tell you who I am. But since you already claim to know, why are you asking? Ironically, you "consulting" for the Democrats will do more to help the party than anything else. Correct, me if I am wrong, but didn't you lose quite handily in your race for Congress? People in glass houses should not throw stones.

I am surprised you are posting, given your busy court schedule. That's sarcasm, in case you couldn't pick it up.

Who says I was vice chairman of Yonkers? For someone in court everyday, you sure have a lot of time to post. If Pirro was such a good candidate for AG, why did she lose handily to someone who hadn't even practiced law in many years for the job of chief law enforcement officer of New York?

and as for pirro I know what I said and when I said it
I have the tapes and the print stories...she was a poor
choice for the senate..in fact I told her that personally
before she announced..she was a good choice for ag..
it had nothing to do with the generic issue of whether
she was a good or bad candidate .that appears to be
your simplistic way of dealing with it..
and by the way when you were vice chairman of yonkers
with zhey wasn't your committee the first one in
westchester to support FAso..who runied the republican
party?

So you conceed that you never appear in court yet a prominent personal injury firm offered you a name partnership in their firm. Why would they do that unless there is some non-legal rationale.

"I never said she was a bad candidate for attorney general
again you misread either intentiaally or because you choose
to."

You said she was a bad candidate. You did not specify for which office. She ran for AG. As such, one can infer that you are talking about her candidacy for AG, the office which she actually ran for and lost by a huge margin. If you wanted to, you could have added the modifier that she was a bad candidate for Senate but you chose not to specify. You said she was a bad Senate candidate only after problems came out. There is a record of your statements. To think that none of her husband's problems would have come out if she ran only for AG is naive at best.

My argument regarding third parties makes perfect sense. You just choose to intentionally ignore it so you can unfairly blame others for what you and your friends have done to the Westchester GOP.

you are both totally out of order...anti..you certainly
have zero reasoning skills...you take statements turn
them around and attempt to justify your own view.
1. you refuse to disclose your identity unless I Leave the
Republican party..that is tantamount to extortion...
republicans don't act like that...
2. you show a complete and utter misunderstanding of
the way a political race works...if there is a republican
nomination to be had as in the spencer and faso cases
and the general belief is that you can't win without
the conservative party endorsement..in order to coerce
the republican endorsement a candidate first obtains
conservative support...if you don't know that you shouldn't
be in politics...and you clearly haven;t had the experience
necessary to understand where the leverage is in the process
your solution requires people in the legislature who rely
on the conservative party to reject them while they still
can cross endorse...not really very likely ....and from
what I understand you would be the last person to support
that...
I never said she was a bad candidate for attorney general
again you misread either intentiaally or because you choose
to..what I said was she was not a good senatorial candidate
Had she run initially for AG instead of being talked
into running for the senate she might have avoided page
10 and all that went with it..so again you mislead..
in addition I always thought she would be a good ag candidate...and when she announced for the senate
it was not after the fact..it was during the fact
that i criticized that choice..you either don't
watch the commentary or you choose to interpret it
to your own liking
and finally on the issue of 9/11...are you suggesting
that all those volunteers who were toxically poisoned
should not be indemnified...I can make that argument
anywhere and at anytime...and there certainly isn't a conflict ...and as for electing judges..I don't try
cases..so there are "no connections" you clearly
don't understand the legal system 98% of all cases
settle..a judge isn't even involved in most settlements
so there is hardly anything they could do even if they
wanted to...which I am happy to say in westchester county
would never happen...and in fact most of the judges
I elected have retired..the democrats now control
the agenda..are they going to rule against my firm
because they are democrats...not only do you make
no sense but your anger is obvious...and so is your
envy

That sounds very fair. The Consultant helps elect the same judges he will later appear before. I was surpised that the Consultant after many years of not appearing in court suddenly was made a name partner at a prominent personal injury firm but now it makes sense. He has been brought in not for legal expertise but for his connections. The losers are all attorneys who have to face his law firm in a Westchester courtroom.

"3. you still havent’ told us who you are in real life
4. your solution to eliminating the conservative party
is ridiculous as long as cross endorsements exists.."

I will be able to disclose my identity if you promise to leave the Republican Party and to consult for Democrats.

My solution is not ridiculous. My solution was that if Republicans want to nominate someone that Conservatives reject in the primary, they should do so. You obviously misunderstodd it had nothing to do with politicians rejecting cross endorsements. Let's see if you can follow this, the Conservative Party wants Faso and the Republican Party wants Weld, the Republican Party gives the nomination to Weld instead of Faso. Faso, most likely does not actively run as he no he has no chance of winning. The Conservative Party does not get enough on the party line and they lose their ballot spot. That is so ridiculous that it happened to the liberal party with Andrew Cuomo. No one has veto power over the Republican primary. Your argument is a red herring designed to detract from your own and your own allies personal political failings.

"what candidate has a position on the 9/11 lawsuits that
I have criticized.."

You previously criticized Spitzer and other Democrats without disclosing this. Full disclosure where you have a clear conflict of interest would be nice.

"I criticized the pirro selection for senate publicly
when it was made..regardless of mike long..you weren’t
paying attention"

Yes, but you claimed she was a great candidate for Attorney General, which is far different from you said today, which is that she was a terrible candidate. Moreover, you have consistently promoted her at every chance you get. You mainly criticized her as a Senate candidate after and not before she had a series of mishaps. You are great after the fact. You have an entire article dedicated to what a great AG candidate she would have been. It is public record. I guess you are embarrassed and took that down from your website along with the great piece about how campaign finance reform was going to save our democracy.

Oh, if prosecutors are apolitical so are judges. Bragging about electing Republican judges by your standard is nothing to brag about. After all, there is no Republican or Democratic way to judge a case going by your logic:-)

“3. you still havent’ told us who you are in real life
4. your solution to eliminating the conservative party
is ridiculous as long as cross endorsements exists..”

Let’s see if you can follow this, the Conservative Party wants Faso and the Republican Party wants Weld, the Republican Party gives the nomination to Weld instead of Faso.

“what candidate has a position on the 9/11 lawsuits that
I have criticized..”

You previously criticized Spitzer and other Democrats without disclosing this. Full disclosure where you have a clear conflict of interest would be nice.

“I criticized the pirro selection for senate publicly
when it was made..regardless of mike long..you weren’t
paying attention”

Yes, but you claimed she was a great candidate for Attorney General, which is far different from you said today, which is that she was a terrible candidate. Moreover, you have consistently promoted her at every chance you get. You mainly criticized her as a Senate candidate after and not before she had a series of mishaps. You are great after the fact. You have an entire article dedicated to what a great AG candidate she would have been. It is public record. I guess you are embarrassed and took that down from your website along with the great piece about how campaign finance reform was going to save our democracy.
