Obama keeps picking up the Supers

May
14

He got trounced in the West Virginia Primary, but Barack Obama still seems to have momentum on his side. This morning two more superdelegates announced their support for the Illinois senator.

Announcing their support for Obama today were Rep. Peter Visclosky of Indiana and Democrats Abroad chair Christine Schon Marques, according to an Associated Press account.

Also endorsing Obama were three former Securities and Exchange Commission chairmen – William Donaldson, David Ruder, and Arthur Levitt Jr.

“We are aware of the reasoned approach Mr. Obama has taken in analyzing the current financial crisis and the need for balanced regulatory reform,” the former SEC chiefs and former Federal Reserve Chairman Paul Volcker said in a joint statement. “We believe that such a constructive approach can be extended broadly in the economic area as well as elsewhere.”
