Thanks Lynn, but we know most of those are Obama supporters. If Democrats want to beat Ball, we need to unite behind a Westchester Democrat.

A Putnam Democrat just can't get the job done, as with Ken in '06. Let Ball and Degnan split the Republican vote in Putnam, and see what a candidate with name recognition can do to put our constituents into the Assembly majority.

Call Jim Martorano today and urge him to run for State Assembly in the 99th district.

There are good GOP leaders throughout Putnam County. When Tony Scannapieco desides to retire his chairmanship, then one of them will step up and take control.

The party is not dead in Putnam it is just in transition.

THE PUTNAM GOP IS SEVERELY DIVIDED. PEOPLE LIKE GREG BALL ARE REALLY HURTING THE GOP BY DIVIDING IT INTO MULTIPLE FACTIONS. REMEMBER THE OLD SAYING, A HOUSE DIVIDED CANNOT SUPPORT ITSELF. AND AT A TIME WHEN THE GOP HAS LACKADAISICAL LEADERSHIP FROM SCANNAPIECO, IT'S NO WONDER REGISTRATION IS CHANGING SO RAPIDLY. ECKARDT SEEMS TO BE DOING BANG UP JOB AS CHAIR AND MAYBE THE GOP ISN'T PREPARED FOR THAT. EITHER WAY, THE GOP NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND GET ITS ACT TOGETHER OR THEY WILL WATCH PUTNAM BECOME A DEMOCRATIC COUNTY.

Democrats in Putnam County have been a
sort of fiscal watchdog. And while it
might be just talk, it certainly comes
across better than the action of
increased taxes and spending the voters
are witnessing from the Republicans.
The Putnam Republican Party needs to
look at these new registration numbers
as a wake up call. It's time to stop the
bleeding! Unite the Party behind key
principles and push for new registrations.
It's inexcusable that the Republicans
have allowed the Democrats to steal the
issue of lower taxes!

wow! unaffiliated voters 414 and republicans 369. the voters who don't choose a party are quickly becoming players in most elections. in the 99th, for instance, these voters will most likely vote for the more moderate candidate. could spell trouble for greg ball.

Lynne Eckardt speaking truth the power... the Putnam Republicans have grown out of control, not all but some. Perhaps a perfect reason why one Party rule stinks. For years, it has been the Putnam Democrats, not Republicans who have advocated for lower taxes from the County level down. Perhaps they were just being critical of the incumbent Republicans, but in Putnam I would not rate Republicans as being fiscal conservatives. (I'm a registered Conservative for those who are interested).
