Susan Tolchin, who is among the most visible figures in Westchester County Executive Andrew Spano’s administration, is to be honored by the YWCA of White Plains on Friday.
Tolchin, the county executive’s chief adviser and spokeswoman, will receive the group’s award for government and public service during the Salute to Women and Racial Justice awards luncheon at the Doral Arrowood.

What is this “public service” BS all the time, like we have Saint Anthony here? Anyone who makes as much salary and perks as these charlatans are not public servants. Public czars maybe.
Given Tolchin’s knee-jerk, moronic comments about Indian Point, it was certain she won’t be getting an award from Mensa.
Susan does a great job and deserves her award. people should not critize others unles they have walked in their shoes.
I get corns and stares when I wear heels.
Environmental hucksters like Tolchin and her boss (and everyone else) are recommended to today’s column by Charles Krauthammmer. It’s about what are actually the socialist goals of the environmentalists. The column is in today’s NY Daily News and other publications.
In my opinion, it’s an important and very accurate column.
