Here’s John McCain’s latest ad running in some battleground states. He tries to rest fears on his stance on war, saying “I hate war. And I know how terrible its costs are. I’m running for President to keep the country I love safe.”

you guys really scare me…Iran has pledged to wipe
Israel off the map…If we hadn’t invaded Iraq we might
be in a position to do something about it…but that
aside..what makes you think a man who was tortured for
five years and cant raise his arms above his
shoulders likes war….their is a huge difference between
protecting this nation and liking war…when hitler
invaded poland …we didn’t like war..but we knew
what we had to do….and ultimately Roosevelt did it..
Notwithstanding my personal belief that the Iraq invasion
was misguided, you cannot dismiss the real threat posed
by the Iranians..if you do you will be making an
historic error…
