Eastchester Democrats will have a choice for Town Board come November.
Christine Doody Doherty was chosen this month by the party to run for Town Board.
Doody Doherty, daughter of the late Supervisor Jim Doody, is a teacher with Nanuet Public Schools. She lives in the Bronxville Manor section of town.
She is also a local Girl Scout leader, member of the Tuckahoe School Foundation and a volunteerswith the Cottle School Foundation. She’s also active with the Eastchester Irish American Society.
The Town Board has five members, all Republican. Incumbent Frederick Salanitro is being challenged by Tony Sayegh in a Republican primary in September.
Doody Doherty will face the winner of that race.

Anybody with his/her hooks into the school systems is someone to avoid politically.
Ed, I happen to agree with you. She seems to be a very nice woman and intelligent but, just like Sayegh, she has her hooks into the school system. I’m sure she is very active and attends her meetings and isn’t a no-show on multiple boards like Sayegh.
lets get D.A Janet Difiore to run for office in Eastchester, she will need the job. What a loser. This woman a DEMOCRAT, what a joke. Janet Difiore is no DEMOCRAT!
