Lalor gets more NYPD backing

June
19

Kieran Michael Lalor, the Republican candidate for Congress challenging Democrat John Hall in New York’s 19th Congressional District, today announced the backing of the NYPD’s Sergeants Benevolent Association which has 11,000 active and retired members.

In December 2007 Lalor was endorsed by the National NYCPD 10-13, the organization that represents all retired New York City Police Officers.

The New York Fire Department’s Uniformed Fire Officer’s Union endorsed Lalor in January.

i sure hope lalor is not endorsed by the sanitation workers. he is littering the district with his lawn signs which shows his lack if integrity already. anyone or any organization who endorses him just is not paying attention to what congressman hall is doing for this district and all his constituents. lalor’s “i’m a marine and your not” stance is ludicrous.

Lalor touts this as “my second major union endorsement.” Sorry, but, the way I see it, a MAJOR union endorsement would be the Teamsters, AFL-CIO, etc. Like THAT will ever happen.

He also touts an endorsement from the “Top Wappinger Democrat,” like Lalor has some kind of bipartisan appeal. The top Wappinger Democrat is the Town Clerk, the “highest ranking elected Democrat in Wappinger,” according to Lalor. The guy was in the same Marine unit with Lalor, I’d be very surprised if he DIDN’T endorse Mr. Lalor, but that shouldn’t be twisted/spun to make it seem like Lalor will appeal to any Democrats who aren’t personal friends.
