Why should not scum and FELONS such as MOVEON.ORG and GEORGE SOROS[convicted felon] be able to ‘BUY’ whatever SOCIALIST/LEFTY they want??? How unfair the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION working to prevent these abject frauds froim political control!!! Thank goodmess for McCAIN/FEINGOLD for allowing these reprobates/degenerates to ‘skirt’ the campaign finance laws – AND turn to private financing. WHAT A JOKE!!!

RE:Absolute power corrupts absolutely … When this statement is brought up, I always wonder what makes government beauacrats “immune” from this fact.
Most people who make statements such as the one above, propose to go to public financing of elections as a “fix” for this problem.
This implies a sort of blind trust that the government officials that will be running the public financing system will be immune from the temptations of their power. I think the future of man on earth proves that such officials are not immune from the corruptive influences of power.
And once you hand over the power and control of the election financing to the government, it may be “game over”. They will not likely ever give up this power.
