New counsel for Paterson

July
1

Terryl Brown-Clemens takes over today as Gov. David Paterson’s new top legal adviser, replacing David Nocenti, a Spitzer holdover whose last dayon the job was yesterday.

Brown-Clemens has been an assistant counsel.

The top administrative staff has now almost completely turned over since Paterson succeeded Spitzer on March 17. Sean Patrick Maloney, a special adviser, appears to be the last man standing from the old Spitzer crew.

Nocenti will probably be best remembered for writing the directive last month that ordered state agencies to recognize same-sex marriages – an order now being challenged in court.

Uhh…isn’t she a Spitzer holdover? A google search says, in 2006:
“Terryl Brown Clemons to first assistant counsel to the governor. She has been the assistant deputy attorney general of the Division of Public Advocacy in the state attorney general’s office under Spitzer.”

You guys really need to fact check. A number of your posts have factual errors.

Hey, ed – Though I asked numerous times, I guess you’re not going to identify yourself with a name that won’t confuse who is who and whose opinion belongs to whom. Keep the name. I’ll find another. Thanks for your rudeness.

Hey, Wahoo – or anyone knowledgeable – Can you tell me how to get my original screen name off this blog and how to create a new one? Thanx.

    Hi ed:

Best suggestion: change computers, as IP addresses are the way they track these things.

Use a son’s or spouse’s computer; there is plausible deniability if the storm-troopers seeking your identity come to id you.

Destroy the old hard drive; don’t just put it out at the junkyard. Make sure it is untraceable.

I wasn’t kidding about that Brave New World business.

    Hope this is useful.

Tim/Walt: Many thanx. Sorry to waste your time with this nonsense. I’m not really worried about being tracked, though that info on the subject is interesting. I was more worried about my posts being confused with the other “ed,” who persists in maintaining the confusion.

    No problem!

He definitely doesn’t have your style, though. Long live the original ed, accept no substitutes…

You know, Walt, I was thinking the same thing. :-)
