How’s this for an interesting dinner trio?
Bill and Hillary Clinton joined Rep. Nita Lowey for a meal at X2O Xaviars on the Hudson in Yonkers last night.
“It was a friendly, social dinner,” said Nina Blackwell, a spokeswoman Sen. Hillary Clinton. She declined to provide further details about the outing.
Lowey, a Harrison Democrat, was key supporter and fundrasier for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Her congressional district also includes the Clinton’s hometown of Chappaqua.
X2O, for those unaware, is chef Peter X. Kelley’s trendy new restaurant along the Yonkers waterfront. It’s opening was hailed by city Mayor Phil Amicone as evidence of Yonkers’ continuing turnaround.

Isn’t that special?
Sweet Old Bill, who is gray but still very attractive, joined the graybeard Nita Lowey—an aging battleax—who valliantly stood aside in 2000 to allow his bride, double-wide Hillary, to run for the US Senate, succeeding a great Senator. That turning will be grist for novelists for years to come.
I’ll bet it was a lot of fun, with politically corrupt stories shared by these horribly corrupt Democrats.
Did they tip well?
Aging battleaxe? Double-wide bride? Tim, you used to be so pleasant; you now begin to sound like I sound. Chuckled out-loud at this description. Odds are that even Bill, after reading the opening, would sneak into the den with a Billy Beer and chuckle, too. (very quietly).
ed: you going back to your old identity? (our lol)
Truth is, I’ve never been THAT pleasant. ;> Just ask anyone who knows me.
I love breaking the chops of any insincere people who live in public life off our dime.
I HATE the hypocrites.
You: I like.
Forgot to put the 1 after ed. T, would you believe I’m STILL painting this house? If it hasn’t been raining, it’s been threatening to rain, or it’s too damned humid. Why am I doing this? I should be working on leaving Westchester like the Consultant, not painting one of their houses. Dawned upon me long ago that we don’t really own our houses anyway; we just rent them from the government. $16,000 a year in local taxes alone, to have the garbage picked up twice a week! Enough complaining. Where’s my brush?
This guy Tim has the heats for Sculti…another scum.
You ever been in Yonkers Hays? Besides blowing sculti of course
Hey Pinochio – You’re missing a c and a large part of your brain.
Ed! Just caught this. $16,000! Ugh. Rockland and Orange are much better (for a while), but really, the midwest is looking better and better every day. Only problem is, it’s not New York.
Better even yet: Ireland, where writers get tax breaks. Only irony: smoking is outlawed.
Cheers, and see you soon.
pinochio: get it off your chest. Right on. We live in a free country—and today reminds us how much so.
Good thing about these boards: we can all get it off our chests, with freedom of expression. Not like Soviet Russia, or Iraq under Saddam.
And there’ll be fewer Charles Whitmans. He was the Boy Scout who never got it off his chest, and there were 26 fewer U Texas grads as a result.
