Who’s Your Caddy?

July
8

Newsday had this great photo and article about President Clinton’s 18 holes at Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi’s annual golf outing yesterday.

The Clinton group, from left, James Dolan, president of Cablevision and the unpopular head of Madison Square Garden; Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver; Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi; Bill Clinton, and Christopher Suozzi, Thomas’ brother.

Newsday says the group shot a 65, which was 5 under par. But the score placed his team in the middle of the pack behind the tournament-winning score of 59.

Clinton had two birdies, and Silver, who is rumored to be a good golfer himself,
said of Clinton “He really hits a long ball. He also would offer tips on how to hit the ball if I hit a bad shot – which happened more often than not.”

    Oh! What a group!

You can be sure of two things:\

1.) They closed the course. No ordinary taxpaying citizens allowed.

2.) They used the red tees to achieve those low scores.

I’d love to get them at White Plains Bowl, and see how they all fare there.

Looks like the bottom row of Hollywood Squares. And if Silver is “rumored to be a good golfer,” why in hell is he being instructed by bawdy Bill? And Dolan is six inches shorter than even Silver. No wonder the Knicks suck. Bowling just might be his game. Instead of the NY Ebonics, he could call the once storied Knickerbockers the NY Gutterballs. Each of them should check to see if their wallets are still in their bags after the round. Other than that, I’m in a pretty good mood today.

That photo could be a preview of an episode of “America’s Most Wanted.” The James and Dalton gangs had nothing on that motley crew.
