NY-ers feeling sour about the economy
Feeling pessimistic about your economic prospects, and those for the state? If so, you have plenty of company, according to a poll released today.

“It may sound like a broken record, but it’s true,’’ said Douglas Lonnstrom of the Siena Research Institute, which conducted the poll. “Across every demographic, consumer confidence has hit a new record low.’’
Surging prices for gas and groceries are the major culprits, the survey found, especially for people making less than $50,000 a year.
The poll of 813 adults found the confidence “index’’ at 56.2, down more than three points from a month ago and almost four points below the national figure.
