So much for a vacation

Four days after leaving his state Senate post and a month after stepping down from his powerful Senate majority leader position, 79-year-old Joseph Bruno of Brunswick, Rensselaer County, is setting up shop in the private sector. Bruno was a senator from 1976 to 2008 and majority leader since 1995. Â
The longtime GOP senator has been appointed chief executive officer of CMA Consulting Services, a developer and supplier of information-technology systems. He replaces Kay Stafford, who becomes CMA’s president and chair of the board of directors. The organization has clients in New York and nationwide, including the state Comptroller’s Office, the state Attorney General’s Office and the Hawaii State Department of Health. The company, which is based in the Albany suburb of Latham, has more than 400 employees in five offices around the country.
“CMA is a tremendous company with an exciting future and I’m honored to join the organization,” Bruno said in a statement. “My goals, whether as a business person, entrepreneur or legislator, have been to get things done. I look forward to moving CMA forward from its strong position as an industry leader to an even stronger position of greater growth and expansion.”
  Bruno’s appointment is effective immediately.

This little man’s life story, along with that of Shel Silver, is one of self-aggrandizing uselessness. There are a lot like them up in Albany, but they are the poster children. What’s the deal this time? My guess: nothing will happen to any of them. In the end, they each protect the other. Reason: each has too many skeletons and too much to lose by pointing the finger.
It is to puke!
