Bush Signs Bill Honoring Russert

Posted by: Joseph Spector - Posted in Uncategorized on Jul 23, 2008

A stretch of highway in Buffalo, U.S. Route 20A, will be named after former NBC newsman Tim Russert.

President Bush has signed a bill this morning to honor Russert, according to the Associated Press.

The road will be named “Timothy J. Russert Highway.” The span runs in Orchard Park, near Ralph Wilson Stadium, home of the Buffalo Bills—Russert’s favorite team.

As a season ticket holder of the Buffalo Bills, I will be riding this road almost every Sunday for this football season.
(Monday Night for one of this years game – Monday Night Football).

Well deserved for sure, Tim Russert was a gentlemen, a person who never forgot his roots in Buffalo. A religious man who put money where his mouth was for many of charities. Buffalo Bills biggest fan!

With a pleasing and good-natured sense of humor which set him apart from some of the grim-faced, double-talking ideologues he interviewed.
