Cuts must be made we can not continue to tax and spend. It gets us in situations like we are currently in.

Vote for the new crop of Republicans running for the state assembly this year. It will send a message that we will not take it anymore.

The proposed TAX CAP is only a partial solution and schools will still be able to raise taxes 4% easily enough. Even if a school only needed to spend 2%, they would build in the excess 2% just to have the taxable funds. NOT GOOD. Tax cap should be lower and hooked in with senior citizens ability to pay on a fixed income level. Just the CAP is not going to stop raising school taxes as schools will put up separate votes for other spending plans by heavy promotion to special interest groups to vote yes. So up up and away the taxes will still go. AMEND THIS TAX CAP TO HAVE reductions for the senior citizens as they can not afford to stay in their homes.

I listened to the Governors speech he never mentioned cutting pre-Kindergarten classes, class size reduction, nursing home and home-care services, and other programs and services.

You can see by his statement what special interest groups he and the Democrat Assembly bow down to. Cuts should be made to everything accross the board. Everyone should share in the pain, not one group over the other.

Until Sheldon Silver and the other leadershiop in the Assembly is gone there will be no real change in the way the State does business.

It is truly time for a CHANGE in Albany this year.
