Golisano Returning To Albany

July
30

Tom Golisano is returning to Albany on Tuesday to hold his second press conference about his new political action committee, Responsible New York.

Golisano, aides said, is planning to release a copy of the questionnaire he will giving out to candidates running for the state Legislature this year. Golisano, despite reports to the contrary, will then decide which candidates he will back with his $5 million PAC in the fall.

Golisano said the other day that he hasn’t made any decision on who to endorse, despite speculation that he is already committed to helping three Democratic Senate challengers in western New York.

At the press conference, Golisano will also give more details about the committee. The group’s website is up, but there’s no information on it, except saying on the homepage “Guiding True Political Reform in the State of New York. Coming Soon!”
