Retro-what?
A Yonkers city councilman, running for state Senate said New York’s financial problems can’t be solved with “retronomics that tax people into their grave.â€
 Hmmm. Retronomics, sounds like political insider-speak. Must delve some more. (Google search here)….David Gergen, a long-time advisor to presidents and now a professor at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government surmised to Bloomberg.com in very basic terms that “Retronomics†is about looking back, rather than ahead. Republicans think Reagan, Democrats think (Bill) Clinton.
OK, now that’s out of the way: Republican John Murtagh, who is running against Democrat Andrea Stewart-Cousins, yesterday said the state’s budget crisis hasn’t happened because New Yorkers are under-taxed. He blamed Albany for wasting money, overspending and failing to “develop a diversified economy that can produce enough revenue.â€He cited some examples like Medicaid fraud loses and New York’s reliance on revenue from the Wall Street economy.
Murtagh said if  New York recovered just 10 percent of that Medicaid waste, it could help “stabilize the budget.â€Murtagh said Governor Paterson has taken the first step and concluded: “The Legislature must aside its retronomic policies and doing more while taxing and spending less.â€

this is the same guy who just voted to raise our taxes by 8%, same guy who saw spending rise over 50% and sat quiet, murtagh a tax and spend yonkers politician.
if you look at the yonkers budget, when murtagh joined the city council in 2003 and compare it today, spending has skyrocketed and murtagh voted to increases taxes every time.

A suggestion: take a course in the use of the English language which allows you to write and speak more articulately. You appear less literate than you may actually be, at present. After all, you may want to get your point across, and have your own opinion matter, at some time. Just a suggestion.

You are SO RIGHT about the Yonkers Board of Ed. They should imprison everybody who allowed the devasatation of public education in one of the country’s best school systems.
